Position Overview

The Finance Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the precise and timely documentation of cash flow and revenue activities within the general ledger, adhering to established accounting standards. This position also involves overseeing and mentoring the Accounting Supervisor, Grants Staff Accountant, and Staff Accountants.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for a hybrid work environment, requiring in-office attendance only 2-3 days per week, with the remainder of the time spent working remotely.

Compensation ranges from $105,000 to $120,000.

Only candidates meeting the specified qualifications will be considered.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in not-for-profit cash management, revenue tracking, and grants accounting
  • Proven experience in supervising a team of 2 or more
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with single audits
  • Proficient in accounting software and programs, with advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite is advantageous
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Dependable with a solid work ethic
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
  • Availability to work standard business hours, including additional hours during month-end, audit, and year-end processes
  • Capable of performing well under pressure
  • Thrives in a deadline-driven work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
