Job Summary

Cary Medical Center is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their Oncology Department. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote patient safety and adhere to the patient fall risk program, completing fall risk rounding at least twice per shift.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, reporting abnormal findings to the patient's nurse.
  • Perform daily weights and report abnormal findings to the patient's nurse.
  • Accurately document ADLs, ambulation, intake and output, vital signs, weights, safety rounding, and other patient care activities performed throughout the shift.
  • Ensure patients have access to fresh water, while observing patients with NPO status or fluid restrictions.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide necessary supplies.
  • Assist in ambulating patients according to physician orders.
Requirements
  • Active, valid CNA certificate in Maine.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Obtain BLS certification within 1 year of hire and maintain current certification.
Work Schedule

With consideration for patient and staff needs, you may be required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays, and may need to float to other units.
