Certified Nursing Assistant

Cary Medical Center is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their Oncology Department on a per-diem basis. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities- Promote patient safety and adhere to the patient fall risk program, conducting fall risk rounding at least twice per shift.
- Obtain and document vital signs, reporting any abnormal findings to the patient's nurse.
- Perform daily weights and report any abnormal findings to the patient's nurse.
- Accurately document ADLs, ambulation, intake and output, vital signs, weights, safety rounding, and other patient care activities performed throughout the shift.
- Ensure patients have access to fresh water, while observing patients with NPO status or fluid restrictions.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide necessary supplies.
- Assist in ambulating patients according to physician order.
- Active, valid CNA certificate in Maine.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Obtain BLS certification within 1 year of hire and maintain current certification.
With consideration for patient and staff needs, you may be required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays, and may need to float to other units.
