We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operating Room Technician to join our team at HCA Florida Mercy Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites.

Job Summary

The Operating Room Technician is responsible for providing technical support to our surgical team, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly. This includes setting up and maintaining a sterile environment, preparing patients for surgery, and assisting with the surgical procedure as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures
  • Assist with patient preparation and positioning for surgery
  • Provide technical support to the surgical team, including setting up and maintaining equipment
  • Assist with the surgical procedure as needed, including passing instruments and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements
  • Graduation from a Surgical Technician Program required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate/GED required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the facility
