We are seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Technician 2 to join our team at Holtz Women's Hospital. As a key member of our labor and delivery unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of operating rooms for surgical procedures, maintaining operational readiness of specialized equipment.
- Provide support to surgeons and scrub nurses, anticipating and supplying their needs with instruments, sutures, and sponges.
- Assist in the draping of the operative site and maintain aseptic technique throughout all phases of work.
- Perform counts with the circulating nurse and assume responsibility for the identification and maintenance of specimens after release from the surgeon.
- Utilize safety measures for patient, self, and other team members in the handling of sharps, cautery, and other equipment.
- High School diploma required; 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
- Operating Room Technician certification preferred; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
