Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer - Utilities to join our team at Farnsworth Group. As a key member of our Energy & Utility Group, you will work with our Telecommunications Team to plan, design, and implement telecommunications and utility projects. Your expertise in roadway design, utility coordination, and project management will be essential in delivering high-quality projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities and design civil relocation plans for telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software. Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets. Provide technical oversight, training, and mentoring of less experienced staff. Lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups to ensure a quality, on-time product for our clients and financially successful projects. Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications. Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc. Participate in site visits and provide office support for site visits which may include overnight travel.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 5 years of engineering experience. Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation. Experience in utility relocation design, utility coordination, or roadway design. Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently. Professional Engineering (PE) license. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or 2+ years of project management experience. Experience on telecommunications relocation projects. Experience submitting and tracking permits (DOT, municipal, USACE, etc.) for utility projects.
