POSITION OVERVIEW

As a vital part of our retail operations, our associates play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences across our global network of over 430 stores. Responsibilities include maintaining product availability, creating engaging visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and facilitating efficient checkout processes. Your contributions will support Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of connecting active individuals with their passions.

In the role of a Retail Associate, you will act as a brand ambassador, ensuring that customers enjoy outstanding in-store experiences through positive interactions. You will utilize your problem-solving skills and sales expertise to assist customers with their inquiries and provide compelling product recommendations, all while upholding the company's values of customer service and teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries regarding product features, benefits, and availability; engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Maintain high standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety; retrieve merchandise from various locations as needed.
  • Accurately perform cash register transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, while connecting customers to loyalty programs.
  • Support store profitability by efficiently handling incoming and outgoing product flow.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • No specific educational requirements (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and other in-store technology
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Active work environment requiring frequent movement and the ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional need to work in a stationary position
  • Effective communication skills are essential
  • Availability for a flexible retail schedule that may vary based on business needs
