Pasta Packaging Specialist

As a vital member of Pasta Montana LLC, the Packaging Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient packaging of our premium pasta products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while packaging products.
2. Complete the packaging schedule in a safe and organized manner.
3. Maintain accurate counts for all packaged items.
4. Ensure proper sealing of cases.
5. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the work area at all times.
6. Operate machinery safely and effectively.
7. Communicate efficiently with various departments.
8. Ensure correct pallet configurations and layer counts as per product specifications.
9. Strive to minimize waste and prevent product loss.
10. Verify that bag and case codes are accurate.
11. Keep packaging materials clean and ready for use.
12. Report any issues with finished products to the appropriate personnel.
13. Maintain a clean work area at the end of each shift.
14. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or commercial setting is preferred.
Skills:
Understanding of packaging processes and GMP is advantageous. Ability to identify quality issues and work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in multitasking and problem-solving.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in varying temperatures. Must be capable of climbing ladders and operating machinery safely. Compliance with safety protocols is essential.
