Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI). As a key member of our engineering staff, you will play a critical role in the analysis, investigation, and resolution of engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide floor and field support to operations as required to analyze, investigate, and resolve manufacturing and modification related issues.
  • Communicate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements in accordance with drawings and technical subject matter.
  • Collaborate with quality, program management, engineering, functional management, and customer management as required to ensure all products meet or exceed the requirements of external or internal customers.
  • Perform root cause analysis for manufacturing issues encountered and provide containment and a path forward.
  • Track design related issues to incorporation and provide input and direction to design engineering, program management, and quality.
  • Keep management informed of product performance, quality status, risks, and customer concerns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team.
  • Strong understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory.
  • Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing/Liaison Engineering environment supporting across multiple internal and external support groups, problem investigation/resolution, multi-disciplinary technical guidance, and configuration management support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with various engine or aircraft propulsion systems.
  • Experience with SAP, AMPS, or other manufacturing execution system applications.
  • Experience with various machining methods, manufacturing processes, and CAD modeling.
