Composite Materials Fabricator

We are seeking a highly skilled Composite Materials Fabricator to join our team at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI). As a key member of our composite manufacturing team, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and testing composite materials for our advanced aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams to fabricate composite parts
- Operate various equipment, including band saws, table saws, and drill presses, to cut and shape composite materials
- Assemble and test composite parts to ensure quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with company standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 7+ years of related experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, detailed blueprints, and other similar authorized drawings and documents
- Ability to use hand tools, such as rollers, paper cutters, scissors, x-acto knives, electric heat guns, and fixtures such as molds and mandrels
- Ability to use measuring instruments, such as scales, protractors, and calipers
- Ability to work in a loud environment and lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs
