About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering Team Member to join our team at Market District. As a Catering Team Member, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our catering operations and providing exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Execution: Ensure that communications from the sales team are executed at a high level, and that all event details are accurately conveyed to the catering team.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that proper food safety programs are being followed, and that all food products meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Handle event bookings from initial contact to completion of event, with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Administrative Tasks: Produce and distribute contracts, complete catering paperwork, menus, and correspondence, and handle all post-event written correspondence.
  • Client Support: Be present at client site visits, tastings, and events to assist with execution when requested by manager, and support the sales efforts of the department with emphasis on catering segment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 0 to 6 months of experience in a single unit catering, convention center, or hotel banquet business.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus 18 months to 3 years of additional training.
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's License.
  • Skills: Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to think clearly and remain calm in pressure situations.
