UMass Memorial Health Care is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to join our team as an attending psychiatrist in our inpatient Psychiatric Treatment and Recovery Center (PTRC) in Worcester, MA.
About the PTRCThe PTRC is a 26-bed locked, acute psychiatric unit that provides comprehensive clinical care to patients challenged by significant mental illness. Our multidisciplinary team includes psychiatry, psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, and social work, as well as referrals to other medical services as needed.
About the DepartmentWe are the largest provider of psychiatric services in central Massachusetts, with over 375 faculty members and 12 hospitals and community mental health centers. Our department has outstanding training programs, including 27 residents and fellows, as well as 16 trainees.
About the OpportunityThis is a wonderful opportunity for both experienced physicians and graduating residents to join a large faculty who are creating innovative strides in research in conjunction with clinical and academic expertise. A faculty appointment, commensurate with experience, is also available.
