Job Summary

Madison Area Technical College is seeking a pool of highly qualified part-time instructors to teach psychology courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and participating in college service activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach psychology courses at the college level, including Psychology of Human Relations, Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Human Sexuality.
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies, including hybrid, face-to-face, and online course delivery.
  • Participate in in-service meetings, staff development training, and other activities as requested by the department.
  • Advise and assist students with academic matters, including course content, career concerns, and other academic issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, provide timely grades, and comply with college policies and directions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the college's mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology or a related area with 18 graduate credits in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies, including learner-centered instruction, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills.
