Job Summary:

We are looking for individuals who possess a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to student success. As a part-time instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and participating in college service activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach part-time courses in the Sociology department, including Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Diversity Studies, and other related courses.
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies, including hybrid, face-to-face, and online course delivery.
  • Participate in in-service meetings, staff development training, and other activities as requested by the department.
  • Assist and advise students with academic matters, including course content, career concerns, and other issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, provide timely grades, and comply with college policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Sociology or a related field with 18 graduate credits in Sociology from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies, including learner-centered instruction and assessment.
  • Ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery.
  • Strong communication and human relations skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
