Job Title: Export Compliance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Export Compliance Officer to join our team at Wilcox Industries. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring our compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures to support export compliance
  • Provide assistance to the company in all facets of export/import and regulatory compliance
  • Represent the company as a technical expert when interacting with regulatory authorities
  • Apply for export and import licenses, maintain required documentation, and ensure compliance with U.S. law and company policy
  • Ensure the export classification of each item is current and maintain a database of export classifications
  • Review international sales orders to ensure compliance with regulations and identify potential risks
  • Conduct random audits of export logs, shipping procedures, and AES submittals
  • Manage customs brokers and export compliance consultants
  • Perform post-entry audits and resolve discrepancies
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on export regulations and industry best practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in international business, law, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in export compliance, international trade, logistics, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations
  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, technology, or manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with compliance software, global trade management systems, SAP, and ERP systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
