Export Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Export Compliance Officer to join our team at Wilcox Industries. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring our compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and enforce policies and procedures to support export compliance
- Provide assistance to the company in all facets of export/import and regulatory compliance
- Represent the company as a technical expert when interacting with regulatory authorities
- Apply for export and import licenses, maintain required documentation, and ensure compliance with U.S. law and company policy
- Ensure the export classification of each item is current and maintain a database of export classifications
- Review international sales orders to ensure compliance with regulations and identify potential risks
- Conduct random audits of export logs, shipping procedures, and AES submittals
- Manage customs brokers and export compliance consultants
- Perform post-entry audits and resolve discrepancies
- Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on export regulations and industry best practices
- Bachelor's degree in international business, law, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in export compliance, international trade, logistics, or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, technology, or manufacturing industry is preferred
- Familiarity with compliance software, global trade management systems, SAP, and ERP systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
