Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed and under the supervision of the attending physician
  • Ensure medication administration adheres to established nursing standards, policies, and state regulations
  • Prepare, administer, and document medications accurately and safely
  • Complete necessary documentation in a timely manner
  • Ensure all medications are properly labeled, returned, and reordered as needed
  • Foster a warm, patient, and enthusiastic environment for residents
  • Participate in facility evaluations by authorized regulatory agencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident care information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate essential resident information effectively to nursing staff and management

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must hold a valid Certified Medication Aide license in the state
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations related to medication administration
  • Ability to accurately assess and report vital signs

This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
