Medication Aide

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Medication Aide to join our team at Friendship Retirement Community. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to individual care plan schedules and documenting medications on the MAR.
- Record all medications dispensed on flow sheets, notes, and charts in a clear and descriptive manner.
- Assist residents with daily activities, such as getting in and out of bed, grooming, meals, dressing, and other assigned ADLs.
- Evaluate and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight.
- Submit medications for reorder as needed and follow infection control policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Adult First Aid/CPR and AED certification.
- Registered Medication Aide certification, in accordance with state laws.
- Certified Nurse Aide in the state of Virginia or NA Certificate.
- Experience in a long-term care or nursing facility preferred.
