Job Title: Corporate Safety Manager

The Applied Technical Services Family of Companies is seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to ensure safe working conditions and practices at job sites. This role will work directly with employees at all levels of the organization to foster a culture that recognizes safety as a priority.



Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all ATS employees are following safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct and assist on incident investigations to ensure the investigation is properly documented, investigated to identify Contributing/Root Causes, and Corrective Actions are implemented
  • Conduct safety regulatory compliance audits
  • Identify, document, and recommend abatement of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions
  • Implement and annually conduct/review hazard assessments, identifying hazard/risk reduction opportunities, and implement controls
  • Partner with business unit stakeholders to implement safety initiatives and identify opportunities to improve workplace safety
  • Enforce compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety related regulations
  • Promote safe work behaviors through classes and trainings


Requirements:


  • 5+ years Safety experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or related field
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) highly desired
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated individual who wants to continue to expand their Safety knowledge
  • Effective team player
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to develop and foster relationships and trust at all levels of the organization

Knowledge on hazard waste disposal and powered industrial equipment certified instructor are preferred skills.
