We are in search of a skilled and dynamic Healthcare Practice Supervisor. In this role, you will oversee leadership and administrative management of practice operations, which encompass medical, addiction, and behavioral health services. Your responsibilities will include office-level leadership through planning, developing, and organizing workflows; directing and evaluating practice activities; managing financial performance; and promoting the practice within Meridian Health Services and the broader medical community. You will serve as the primary point of contact, responsible for coordinating and communicating information within the practice and with administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the practice location(s).
  • Facilitate office and support staff functions.
  • Assist in the administration of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at the practice level.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures aimed at enhancing patient care and optimizing clinical resources.
  • Maintain daily schedules for providers to meet productivity targets.
  • Regularly assess productivity standards and adjust staffing as necessary.
  • Coordinate with Operations Coordinators to ensure staff compliance with productivity standards and documentation expectations.
  • Ensure timely scheduling of all requests for urgent evaluations and medication reviews.
  • Equip staff with necessary tools to fulfill daily responsibilities.
  • Establish and follow proper medication management and administration procedures, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Communicate with pharmacies regarding providers' concerns and prescription availability.
  • Keep the Medical Director and Vice President informed of any concerns or issues within the Medical Services Department.
  • Participate in committees as a departmental representative.
  • Oversee supervisory responsibilities for direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage payroll functions for all staff, including approving time off and expense requests.
  • Ensure training and orientation for all administrative staff, fostering a service-oriented atmosphere.
  • Track licensure requirements for all staff members.
  • Maintain effective feedback mechanisms with staff to enhance work processes and promote engagement.
  • Assist staff in resolving operational challenges.
  • Participate in monthly Medical Staff meetings as needed.
  • Attend supervision meetings with the Regional Manager as required.
  • Provide necessary data to document experiences at the practice(s).
  • Support Senior Management in achieving operational and budgetary goals, closely monitoring financial practice data and facilitating communication of performance results.
  • Promote a patient-centered environment and facilitate programs that meet patient needs.
  • Maintain the practice philosophy for attracting and retaining patients.
  • Resolve patient issues that cannot be finalized by providers or other staff.
  • Adhere to established quality principles and standards set by the Health Center.
  • Provide leadership in care models, fostering team building among clinical and other staff to ensure optimal performance.
  • For Primary Care: Participate in onboarding for physicians.
  • Ensure overall practice compliance, regularly monitoring actions and addressing any non-compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Management, Business Management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role; 5 years preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), or Certified Administrator of Physician Practice Management (CAPPM).
  • Valid driver's license, a driving record that meets company policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance are required.
