Job Description

Job Summary:

Almers Construction Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Construction Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of a 2-7 person crew, ensuring optimal productivity and construction compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Coordinate Crew Activities: Coordinate and supervise daily activities of a 2-7 person crew, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: Utilize heavy equipment to excavate, install, and backfill drainage pipe, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Site Inspection and Safety: Continuously inspect the work site, identifying potential hazards or safety concerns, and ensuring a safe working environment for all crew members.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Observe and maintain assigned equipment, detecting malfunctions and ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
  • Job Cost Analysis: Analyze job cost reports to ensure production is within budget, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Employee Time Reporting: Review and approve employee time reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain a professional relationship with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Four years of experience as a roustabout or other field position, with two years of supervisor or lead experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a potentially hazardous environment.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
