About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Portable Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Portable Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for utilizing sonography equipment in a company vehicle to travel to various locations and perform ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to different service locations in a company vehicle to perform high-quality ultrasound exams for patients, including private residences, skilled nursing homes, senior living facilities, correctional facilities, and other places of service.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and industry protocols, while complying with state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate competency in performing portable ultrasound studies based on established protocols and procedures.
  • Perform sonographic examinations as ordered by the physician and prepare preliminary technologist's worksheets after each study.
  • Maintain records and reports of work performed according to standard protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and ensure that the vehicle is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Orient and train new staff and students, if requested.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited program in Sonography.
  • Credentialing in medical sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Registration as a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDMS) and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds, walk up and down stairs while carrying equipment, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, holidays, and weekends.
