UNC Health Care seeks a skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our team on the 6 West Orthopedic Unit. This is a full-time, night job opportunity with a salary range of $17.50 - $24.63 per hour.

About the Role

This role will assist professional caregivers in delivering patient care, transport patients and equipment, and maintain patient rooms. The ideal candidate will be fluent in verbal and written English, have basic life support certification, and possess strong computer skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Critically review patient care documentation and report any significant changes to registered nurses or physicians.
  • Provide clerical tasks such as organizing workload, greeting visitors, researching information, reviewing orders, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining medical records.
  • Perform routine quality assurance audits, safety checks, and inventory of supplies.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, assisting with ambulation, and vital sign measurement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Listing as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
