Job Overview:

  • 22nd Century Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Specialist to support operations in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute routine assembly tasks on structural and mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems using manual techniques.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of products and processes by engaging in the design, fabrication, and evaluation of innovative concepts and technologies.
  • Occasional travel to various facilities may be necessary.
  • The selected individual will be expected to work onsite at designated locations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in interpreting engineering schematics.
  • At least 1 year of experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the fabrication or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems adhering to industry standards.
  • At least 1 year of experience with machine shop operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with assembly and production methodologies, including data necessary for defining delivery configurations.
  • Ability to distinguish between manufacturing processes and in-service requirements.
  • Participate in the assessment and qualification of materials, suppliers, and processes to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and collaboration to achieve shared goals.
  • Understand the principles of effective teamwork to enhance performance.
  • Knowledge of metal properties and common materials.
  • Comprehensive understanding of shop processes, including FOD prevention, material handling, safety protocols, and ESD measures.

Typical Education / Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
