Electromechanical Assembler

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Avionics Assembler to join our team at a leading aviation manufacturer in Smithfield, PA.

• Perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and aircraft systems equipment and accessories using manual operations.
• Support the development of new products and processes by participating in the design, fabrication, and testing of innovative concepts and technologies.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• 1+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics.
• 1+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools.
• 1+ years of experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems utilizing production industry standards.
• 1+ years of experience with machine shop processes.
• Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations.
• Differentiation of production manufacturing processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
• Evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology, and processes to ensure conformance and production requirements are met.
• Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
