Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer with a diverse background in various operating systems and platforms to enhance our team operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the onsite Tier 3 Field Service Representative (FSR).
  • Address issues, incidents, and maintenance tasks from the Service Desk or other stakeholder directives.
  • Identify the location of tools (cloud or on-premises); assess the affected system and its impact level; validate against configurations and baselines; and fulfill requests.
  • Facilitate technical exchanges of information and activities previously handled at the Tier 0-2 level, providing Tier 3 support and coordinating with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) and vendors for resolution.
  • Escalate to CFT application and development teams all issues or significant incidents that cannot be resolved at Tier 3, initiating proposed changes through the Change Management process within 48 hours if operations are not impacted.
  • Manage and deploy all releases not automatically handled by Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to any environments disconnected from Development Environments.
  • Build, configure, and manage any on-premises environments that are part of the ecosystem.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree; 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

Required Skills:
  • 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server operating systems and virtualization technologies such as VMware.
  • Proficient in Power CLI, PowerShell, and Linux scripting methods.
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems, including RHEL and/or Oracle Linux.
  • Comprehensive system engineering experience throughout the full lifecycle (design, build, deployment, and operations & maintenance).
  • Experience in build and configuration management, including patch management.
  • Strong system troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication abilities.

Security Clearance:
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a CI polygraph.

Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with standard TCP/IP concepts, including design and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including Cisco ASA Family, Cisco ISR Routing Platforms, and Catalyst Switching platforms.
