Job Title: System Administrator

At DataHaven Solutions, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network architectures and systems
  • Configure and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Implement and maintain computer security solutions, including encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer the installation, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
  • Maintain systems inventory, non-attributable systems matrix, and rack/elevation/room drawings
  • Implement safety protocols
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including Windows and Linux Network Administration experience
  • BS degree or 15+ years of experience without a degree
  • Understanding of network architectures, including WANs/CANs/LANs, telecommunication systems, and associated protocols and standards
  • Configuring, managing, and sustaining development and testing network infrastructure and computer systems
  • Comprehension of the theory, design, and implementation of network architectures
  • Applying concepts, principles, theories, and methods for designing, development, evaluating, testing, and securing development and testing infrastructure networks
  • Monitoring and maintaining applications within an IT environment
  • Expertise in the concepts, principles, theories, and methods for network connectivity (e.g. routing, switching, and IP addressing)
  • Maintaining awareness of new, emerging, and evolving technology, tools, and trends applicable to mobile/RF development and testing infrastructure networks requirements
  • Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and theories of telecommunications, including their components and associated protocols and standards, and how they integrate with one another (e.g. transmissions, switching, routing management)
  • Familiarity with the specifications, uses, and types of security hardware and software options
  • Understanding of the concepts and principles of computer security
  • Using the principles and key elements of Configuration Management to plan, manage, or document the implementation, modification, or integration of systems
