POSITION OVERVIEW
The Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with privacy and security regulations across various jurisdictions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Drafting and reviewing privacy and security policies.
  • Editing contracts and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
  • Conducting comprehensive global privacy compliance assessments and audits.
  • Providing product counseling and guidance on privacy matters.
  • Building, implementing, and managing privacy compliance programs.
  • Leading due diligence efforts in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Developing and executing incident response procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of operational privacy and key global privacy regulations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. State laws (e.g., CCPA, CPRA) and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GLBA).
  • Understanding of international privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, LGPD).
  • Experience in both law firm and in-house environments.
  • Technical expertise in AdTech or incident response is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • New York bar membership is preferred.
  • Exceptional academic credentials and strong communication skills.
