Position Summary
DMS is currently seeking a qualified CENSECFOR Armorer / Site Lead (OBMLS Specialist III/Site Lead) to oversee and support armory personnel involved in delivering training for U.S. Navy high-risk operations.
Key Responsibilities
The CENSECFOR Armorer/Site Lead will:
- Supervise and provide training support for personnel engaged in small arms and crew-served weapons instruction.
- Manage and mentor CENSECFOR Armorers, Armorer/EMTs, and AA&E Range Technicians.
- Ensure compliance with Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) safety and security regulations.
- Monitor and report on the condition and accountability of weapons and training equipment.
- Oversee the management of ammunition and explosives, including requisitioning and record-keeping.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deficiency reports.
- Conduct regular assessments of training methodologies and equipment effectiveness.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience, including six (6) years in weapons maintenance and three (3) years in ammunition management.
- In-depth knowledge of Navy Antiterrorism/Navy Security Force programs and applicable Department of Defense directives.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Experience in technical writing and familiarity with military manuals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
Work Environment
This position may involve working in various settings, including ammunition storage facilities and live-fire ranges, and may require the ability to perform under challenging conditions.
