Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Closing Officer to join our team at NJEDA. As a key member of our Closing Services department, you will be responsible for managing and closing assigned incentives and grants in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and close assigned incentives and grants in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Draft and negotiate incentive and grant agreements, and review and draft modification documents to ensure accurate and timely completion of amendments.
  • Evaluate and update incentives and grant product workflow processes, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiencies for customers and staff, and communicate changes to the department and EDA staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Seven plus years of experience in a legal, financial, or banking environment with an emphasis in tax-exempt bond financing.
  • Advanced degree or industry-specific certification may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
  • Paralegal certificate or degree preferred.
