About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Specialist to join our team at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a critical role in driving nursing quality indicators and evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with clinical leaders to serve as a resource and support caregivers to improve outcomes.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve quality and safety outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and clinical professional development in identifying gaps and developing plans to improve professional growth, skills, and competencies.
  • Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting various quality/patient safety data with a focus on using data to drive improved care outcomes and nursing practice.
  • Guide the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, including the revision of order sets and practice guidelines at the unit or division level.
  • Aide in the analysis of research outcomes and devise strategies for their incorporation into evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
  • Conduct unit rounds with a focus on coaching and mentoring in partnership with clinical leadership.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
