Aircraft Quality Assurance Inspector
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Inspector with recent mechanical expertise, proficient in analyzing and interpreting logbooks, and capable of conducting thorough inspections on aircraft from nose to tail.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Aircraft Quality Assurance Inspector, your duties will include:
- Inspecting government aircraft (such as King Air and Globals) during various upgrades and modifications.
- Ensuring that structural and electrical modifications align with engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Authoring engineering change requests and completing necessary aircraft releases related to modifications and airworthiness.
- Preparing STC installation reports and performing weight and balance assessments according to the POH.
- Reviewing Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) for compliance.
- Updating and reviewing aircraft life-limited items in accordance with the manufacturer's AMM Chapter 4.
- Conducting briefings and debriefings with flight crews during calibration flights.
- Verifying all fabricated components against engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Executing First Article Inspections in compliance with AS9102 standards.
Essential Skills:
- Quality Inspection experience in the aviation sector
- A&P license
- Familiarity with MRO environments
Job Type:
This is a contract role with a duration of 6 months.
Work Environment:
This position is fully on-site, operating within a hangar environment for a 145 repair station. Typical hours are 1st shift, Monday to Friday (7 AM - 4 PM), with flexibility required for potential 2nd shift assignments. The work atmosphere is fast-paced, and you will be assigned specific tasks and work orders to complete within set timelines. The dress code is standard (jeans and a t-shirt with steel-toed shoes).
