Job Title: Controls Engineer

This is a direct hire opportunity for a Controls Engineer to join our team at a manufacturing plant in the steel industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing PLC programs and HMI interfaces for automated systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PLC programs and HMI interfaces for automated systems.
  • Conduct system analysis to identify and implement improvements and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems align with operational requirements and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and their components.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including system designs, specifications, and manuals.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring proper use of control systems.
  • Participate in the commissioning of new systems and upgrades, ensuring smooth integration and minimal operational disruption.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in PLC programming, Control Systems Design, SCADA, HMI, and ladder logic.
  • Strong understanding of automated manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
