Nurse Extern Nights

The Nurse Extern Nights is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care. This role involves performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, in accordance with the patient care/service plan.
- Document the delivery of quality care in the patient's clinical record.
- Implement patient care that is appropriately documented and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain consistent and concise lines of authority and responsibility with effective communication that promotes a positive working relationship with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Identify changes in patient status or needs and communicate to the nurse in a timely manner.
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing.
- Lifting 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required on all clinical nursing units. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training is required for Behavioral Health.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
