Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to clients, ensuring their optimal health and well-being. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to clients, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Administer medication as prescribed, observing clients for signs of intoxication and medication side effects.
  • Document client medical records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Current NYS LPN License
  • Current NYS Infection Control Certificate
  • Minimum one year experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
  • Proficiency with computers
