At Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Current NYS LPN License
  • Current NYS Infection Control Certificate
  • Minimum one year experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all populations served
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
  • Proficiency with computers
