About the Role
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bodily Injury Claims Specialist to join our Claims department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling bodily injury claims, investigating incidents, and negotiating settlements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of bodily injury claims, gathering facts and evidence to determine coverage and liability.
- Develop and implement effective claims handling strategies to ensure timely and fair resolutions.
- Communicate with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to provide excellent customer service and resolve claims efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as underwriting and risk management, to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance claims handling, preferably in bodily injury claims.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
