Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

· Medical Management of patient in collaboration with physician to care, evaluate and mange patients through assessment of symptoms, diagnosis, education, and execution of treatment plan and follow up
· Develops outcome measures to monitor the quality of care and effectiveness of services
· Consults and collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals to manage complex health problems
· Diagnosing and treating illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries.
· Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
· Collecting, recording, and maintaining patients' information and histories.
· Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care.
· Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members.
· Monitoring patients' conditions and progress.
· Directing, coordinating, consulting with, and referring patients to nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
· Advising patients, parents, and guardians on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention.
· Identifying issues and providing guidance to team members for problem solving
· Collaborate with the management team including planning, goal setting, training, metric management, and growth
· Encourages quality patient care by working together with clinical staff in areas such as evaluating current practices, reviewing alternatives, and deliberating with patient care administrators

Minimum Qualifications
· Graduate of an accredited education program and certified and licensed by the appropriate respective national, state, and local governing agencies for a Nurse Practitioner
· Must hold NP license in Mississippi
· Must maintain the standards of the professional and ethical practice in the provision of the full scope of state regulations
· Must have and maintain a current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
· Two years of Pediatric primary care experience is required
· Five years of Nurse Practitioner experience is preferred
Position Type:
· Full-time
· Non-Exempt
· Hours of Work – Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
· Work Environment – This position operates in a clinic environment. The position requires frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
