Position Overview: The Building Operations Manager plays a crucial role in the effective management of our supportive housing facility, ensuring that all operational aspects are running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the building, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors to facilitate building operations, including utilities and maintenance services.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on building systems, coordinating repairs and maintenance as necessary.
- Act as a liaison with city agencies to ensure compliance with housing regulations and requirements.
- Collaborate with social services staff to address tenant-related issues and improve resident experiences.
- Implement and manage rental collection processes, maintaining accurate property management records.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant building codes and health regulations.
- Participate in inspections and audits conducted by various agencies and organizations.
- Supervise 24/7 operations, including on-site security, and provide on-call management support.
- Work collaboratively with staff across multiple departments to enhance service delivery.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic community environment and be prepared to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills are essential. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in property management or a related field, with a preference for those familiar with mental health or supportive housing contexts.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and moving equipment.
- Capability to navigate between different areas of the facility to complete tasks.
- Regularly utilize visual abilities for reading and interpreting documents and schematics.
