With a proven track record in technology audit and compliance, the ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of technology-related regulations, standards, and best practices.

The successful applicant will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance strategy, mission, frameworks, and roadmap that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring the integrity, security, and reliability of IT systems and data, as well as providing direction and guidance to leadership across different business areas.

  • Leveraging expertise in SOX, PCI DSS, Data Privacy, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance
  • Leading internal and external audits, assessments, and monitoring programs
  • Collaborating with Technology, Audit, Finance, and third-party partners to improve assessment outcomes
  • Developing and executing a multi-year risk-based IT compliance plan endorsed by the CISO
  • Maintaining a strong knowledge base and awareness of industry trends and emerging threats

This role offers a competitive salary of $180,000 per year, based on the market rate for a similar position in Richmond, VA. Additionally, CarMax offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in technology audit, compliance, in a publicly traded company
  • Extensive knowledge of auditing standards, relevant regulations, and industry best practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams
