Civil and Environmental Consultants is a leading environmental consulting firm that provides innovative solutions to complex problems. We are seeking a highly skilled High-Voltage System Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing high-voltage systems for various projects.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, and professional engineer registration is preferred but not required. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills and a passion to apply professional experience and knowledge in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical equipment layout, single line, interconnecting wiring, embedded conduit, cable tray, heat trace, lighting, and grounding drawings.
  • Generate electrical equipment and construction specifications.
  • Develop power studies including short circuit analysis and incident energy calculations using ETAP or SKM software.
  • Provide quality oversight for electrical designs performed by others.
  • Main point of contact for the electrical discipline when meeting with project managers, other discipline leads, and customers.
  • Train and mentor less experienced engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines.
  • Generate electrical engineering hour estimates to complete ongoing work and for new proposals.
