Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Synectics. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing internal and external customer/supplier relationships, measuring the performance of the supply base, and developing strategically integrated sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management: Manage internal and external customer/supplier relationships to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Supply Base Performance: Measure the performance of the supply base and ensure reporting processes are in place to track key metrics.
  • Sourcing Strategies: Develop strategically integrated sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and improve quality.
  • Total Cost Reductions: Leverage total cost reductions and quality improvement recommendations to optimize procurement processes.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate new material, supply, and service developments to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Contract Review: Review and interpret supplier contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Purchasing Function Oversight: Oversee the approval and control of the purchasing function of the facility.
  • Quality Resolution: Monitor and ensure quality resolution mechanisms are in place and working effectively.
  • Managerial Responsibilities: Perform full range of managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees, as well as planning, assigning, and directing work.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Supply Chain Management: Comprehensive understanding of integrated supply chain management, including principles, methods, and practices related to procurement and/or purchasing.
  • Organizational Skills: Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of people.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise judgment and make critical decisions.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead diverse teams through complex projects.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.
