Overview

The Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring that our guests enjoy a clean and welcoming environment during their stay. This position is essential for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service that Angel of the Winds is known for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure hotel rooms are kept in pristine condition, providing a safe and pleasant experience for all guests.
  • Organize and maintain the cleaning cart with necessary supplies to facilitate efficient room cleaning.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in guest rooms and hallways.
  • Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures, and wall decorations to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the rooms.
  • Clean and disinfect shower walls, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and walls to ensure sanitary restroom facilities for guests.
  • Restock towels, soaps, and other room amenities, ensuring all supplies are ready for incoming guests.
  • Strip beds of used linens and remake them with fresh, clean linens for a comfortable guest experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness in closets, including wiping down doors and shelves, and restocking guest supplies.
  • Inspect door and window locks to ensure security, promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document any maintenance or electrical issues encountered in guest rooms and report them to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Handle lost and found items according to company policy, ensuring they are labeled and submitted promptly.
  • Respect guest privacy and uphold confidentiality at all times.
  • Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Strong guest service skills are essential.
  • Preferred experience of one to three months in hospitality or cleaning roles.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning principles, products, and equipment operation.
  • Effective communication skills with guests, colleagues, and supervisors.

Licenses and Certifications

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the appropriate regulatory agency.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role requires the ability to receive detailed information through verbal and written communication. The position involves walking, bending, crouching, and stretching for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours. Candidates must be able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and maneuver carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds. The job requires a combination of standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and visual acuity. This is a continuous operation, requiring availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
