About the Role

Sunland Asphalt is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our heavy civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure resources are accurately accounted for.
  • Assist Project Managers with daily duties and tasks.
  • Support field crews with daily assignments.
  • Participate in job-site and safety meetings.
  • Attend weekly production meetings and coordinate with Project Inspectors.
  • Assist with Pre-Construction and Scheduling Meetings.
  • Perform project cost accounting functions.
  • Coordinate and verify Traffic Control Plans.
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Develop and modify work processes to ensure quality, productivity, and profitability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
  • 2-5 years' experience in Civil Concrete or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project Scheduling software.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform complex computations.
  • Broad understanding of project management, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and contract administration.
  • OSHA safety training a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean motor-vehicle record.
