Position Overview:
As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will provide comprehensive 24/7 coverage in Acute Care units, acting as the primary pediatrician for patients during their hospital stay. Your role will involve coordinating with primary care physicians and various subspecialists to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct rapid assessments for children experiencing critical health changes.
- Supervise and manage the transfer of patients to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit when necessary.
- Oversee the care of children transitioning from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to the Acute Care floor.
- Mentor and educate future pediatricians by supervising Residents during Patient Centered Rounds.
- Actively engage in medical staff committees to enhance medical care and promote patient safety.
- Adhere to national guidelines and evidence-based practices to deliver the highest standard of care.

Clinical Pathways Development:
You will be involved in the development and monitoring of various clinical pathways, including but not limited to:
- Asthma
- Bronchiolitis
- Diabetic Ketoacidosis
- Pneumonia
- Sepsis

Inpatient Care:
Hospitalists are crucial in ensuring rapid admissions, facilitating the movement of patients from the Emergency Department to inpatient units promptly, thereby optimizing emergency care capacity.

Work Schedule:
A flexible schedule of 7 shifts per month, each lasting 24 hours, is available.

Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Certified
- Completion of a fellowship program
- Eligibility to obtain a California medical license

Compensation:
Compensation will be aligned with the average salary for this specialty in California, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
