About the Role

Cleveland Clinic's Digestive Disease Institute is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Weekender Flex RN. This unique opportunity allows you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week, providing a great work-life balance.

Job Summary

The Weekender Flex RN will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to adult patients on the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit (G100). This unit focuses on treating complex patients with GI Bleeds, Pancreatitis, Liver Failure, and other gastrointestinal disorders. As a member of our team, you will work closely with experienced caregivers to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients on the G100 unit
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, and update patient care plans
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs
  • Educate patients and their families
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
