Position Summary:
As a lead financial analyst, the selected candidate will oversee the forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of Sunoco's pipeline segment.

This role demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working closely with our Accounting, Operations, Business Development, and Commercial teams.

This position requires strong business insight, outstanding communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities include:
  • Revenue forecasting and pipeline analysis
  • Strategic planning and data management
  • Collaboration with midstream operations, supply & trading, and the FP&A team to deliver financial reporting, budgets, and projections that align with broader company objectives
  • Maintenance of monthly recurring reports to support segment results analysis
  • Variance analysis of actual versus forecasted operating results during the monthly close process
  • Preparation of monthly and long-term forecasts
  • Identification of key performance drivers and opportunities
  • Enhancement of management reporting on existing and acquired businesses to monitor performance

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.

Requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field
  • Analyst level: 2-5 years of experience
  • Senior Analyst level: 5-8 years of experience
  • Lead Analyst level: 8+ years of experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly connect financial results to operational performance drivers
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and respond swiftly to ad hoc requests
  • Proficient in financial systems and analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce or related ERP systems preferred
  • Up to 5% travel may be required
