Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Brigham & Women's Hospital (BWH). As a key member of our ambulatory practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet patients, answer phone calls, and manage patient flow to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Scheduling and Registration: Schedule appointments, register patients, and collect co-pays in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Medical Records and Billing: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, process billing, and troubleshoot insurance issues.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, communicate effectively with patients, and respond to their needs in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-high school education preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of applicable work experience required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and basic computer skills.
Working Conditions

This is a hospital-based ambulatory practice with a fast-paced environment. You will be working in a patient-centered setting, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare providers. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
