About the Position

We are currently searching for a Client Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at Metropolitan Public Defender Service Inc. in Washington County.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that offers a competitive salary of $48,000.16 - $76,504.80 per year.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will engage with clients to identify and refer them to community resources, including substance use and behavioral health treatment, housing, healthcare, and public benefits.

They will collaborate with attorneys and other support staff to create discharge plans for clients releasing from incarceration and hospitalization.

The successful candidate will maintain contact with clients throughout their cases, advocate for their interests, and provide care coordination and systems navigation to ensure they receive necessary services.

This role requires working collaboratively with MPD staff and community partners to meet clients' needs.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in case management or an associate's degree in a social-service related field.
  • Familiarity with substance use disorders and the recovery process.
  • Familiarity with the criminal justice system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
