About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CRNA to join our Anesthesia Care Team in Santa Clara, California. Job Summary:

The selected candidate will be responsible for administering anesthetics, monitoring patient reactions, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough anesthetic evaluations of patients prior to surgical procedures, deliveries, or other medical procedures
  • Review patients' charts, including pre-operative medications, lab work, and significant variations such as hearing aids, dentures, or contact lenses
  • Evaluate patients to identify potential difficulties with airway control and ensure that all pre-anesthesia evaluations are documented thoroughly according to policies and standards
  • Develop and implement anesthesia plans, start IV solutions, administer selected anesthetics, and evaluate and manage patients' conditions
  • Participate in post-anesthesia care unit personnel interface when patients are transferred from the surgery suite, monitor vital signs, and inform anesthesiologists and/or surgeons of patients' conditions
  • Mix solutions to required concentrations and perform procedures outside of the OR, such as intubation, arterial line placement, etc.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and a school of anesthesia by date of hire
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California) required at hire
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of all regulatory requirements and legal consequences of anesthesia care
  • Proven ability to exercise professional prerogatives based on sound clinical judgment
