About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Anesthesia Equipment Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining all anesthesia equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and service all electronic and mechanical equipment used by Anesthesia Department personnel.
  • Set-up transducers, calibrate and zero monitors, assemble pediatric and adult ventilator circuits, and prepare procedural equipment such as CVP, arterial line, Swan-Ganz, and routine intravenous lines.
  • Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on various technical equipment used in the operating room, including Drager and/or Narkomed anesthesia machines, HP Monitors, pulse oximeter, and rapid infusion/transfusion systems.
  • Identify malfunctioning equipment, troubleshoot equipment problems, and refer more serious equipment problems to appropriate technical repair personnel when there are no established guidelines.
Requirements
  • Hospital experience with an understanding of the function and operation of various kinds of anesthesia equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Anesthesia department operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic instruments and treatment procedures commonly used in the administration of anesthesia.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic anatomy.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $68,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
